Who We Are

London Jewish Campus Services (LJCS) serves as a home away from home for the three thousand plus Jewish students in the London area. LJCS functions as the umbrella organization supporting our two student clubs at Western, Hillel and Israel on Campus (IOC). In addition, we work with Western’s colleges, Fanshawe College and a multitude of community partners and agencies.

Our mission is to enrich the lives of Jewish students so that they may enrich the Jewish people and the world. Our student leaders, professionals and lay leaders are dedicated to creating a pluralistic, welcoming and inclusive environment for Jewish college students, where they are encouraged to grow intellectually, spiritually and socially. We are here to help students find a balance in being distinctively Jewish and universally human by encouraging them to pursue tzedek (social justice), tikkun olam (repairing the world), Jewish learning, and to support Israel and global Jewish peoplehood.

London Jewish Campus Services provides the environment and tools that empower students to help shape their future as Jewish young adults. Our student-designed and student-led programs challenge them to learn and grow, choosing from an array of religious, cultural, political and social options based on individual interests. Our diverse program and pluralistic approach aims to meet the needs of all students.

We are fortunate to have the Albert & Temmy Latner Jewish Students’ Centre of London, located at 1192 Richmond St., a fantastic central location two blocks north of the main gates on campus. Our House serves as a meeting place, social space, centre for programming, and provides a safe welcoming atmosphere for all.
